 Patient Care:
Volunteers visit patients where they live (private residence or senior care facility).
Whether sitting with the patient to provide a comforting presence or playing a card game, this support will increase quality of life.
Caregivers Respite:
Staying in the home while family members run errands, keep appointments or take time alone.
Bereavement Support:
Volunteers assist Master level counselors with support groups for children, teens, seniors, and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Office Support:
Volunteers will also participate in annual team retreats and camps. Help with office tasks for example making copies, assemble packets, mailing and answering phones.
Special Events:
Get involved in Health Fairs and Expos held in the community.
Leadership/Planning:
We welcome special skills professions and project ideas from our volunteers and corporate leaders.
Volunteer Training:
Each volunteer must complete a volunteer application process, provide references, and participate in a general orientation session (certain volunteer positions may require additional training).We offer numerous opportunities for training, enrichment, and continuing education.
Teen Volunteers:
Group Activities like yard raking, blanket making, face painting at health fairs, and delivering Thanksgiving dinners to our Hospice clients can be a lot of fun.
